Inverter

The Inverter is a back-wheel-drive robot equipped with an extending arm and an inverting claw, meticulously crafted for the 2023-24 FTC competition, Centerstage. This competition involves manipulating "Pixels," which are plastic hexagons approximately 3 inches long. The Inverter is the creation of our team, Pearagon, consisting of 9 skilled individuals: Jinoo, Justin, Calista, Marren, Aahana, Mahathy, Brendon, Hannah, and Janvi. Each team member fulfills crucial roles such as strategist, programmer, builder, and scribe.

The Inverter's primary manipulator, the inverting claw, draws inspiration from the design of a digital caliper's inverting prongs, used for measuring the inside of objects. Additionally, our robot features a plow as another key manipulator, designed to push pixels into a designated area on the board called the "Backstage." The inverting claw is adept at picking up and placing pixels onto the board, stacking them as high as possible. Moreover, it is designed to grab onto a bar and hang itself to score an additional 20 points.
